Hello, There is no perfect solution. Sometimes a Sylius which can be put in place quickly & with a nice design. But when you start requiring some features you will need to develop them which will make it more expensive. Magento should have remained that solution for small/medium businesses. There is also OpenMage which is a fork of Magento1 that is maintained but it comes with all the underlaying issues of theme installation & manual module installation of M1. If you are looking for a single store/currency website there is also shoppify. There is no perfect answer and I do intend to write an article about it but it's a complex subject with a lot of cons & pros for each choice. Magento2 has pros as well which in some cases can make it a contender; you just need to be aware of the issues.
